Sunday Mountainbiking through Aug & SeptHello all, this is Jason from Cycle Club Oldham
Cycle Club Oldham has successfully tendered for work with The Oldham Partnership and Oldham Community Health Services (part of NHS Oldham). This will allow us to run three Sunday rides over August and September with funding to provide participants with lunch on each ride, as well as general equipment and transport.
Numbers are limited so places will be allocated on a first come first serve basis. In addition, if people book a place and do not turn up, they maybe subject to a small charge.

Thanks ; )- Cycle Club Oldham has been established for the last 18 months and was originally launched by Jason Bromley as the ‘On Yer Bike' project. The club gives people the opportunity to access bike rides led by at least two trained Cycle Leaders and work towards a healthier life style both physically and mentally.
Within this time a vast amount of work has been carried out to not only attract new members but also train new Cycle Leaders, work successfully with different partners and become actively involved with the Oldham Cycling Strategy and the Oldham Cycle Forum |

Additionally the Club:
• Is constituted
• Has a bank account
• Works with hearing impaired young people from Hathershaw Tech
• Worked with the Transform Project and takes referrals
• Works with the Mend Project and takes referrals
• Works with A.D.S and D.A.T
• Is currently affiliating to CTC (liability insurance up to £10 million)
• Has sought insurance for the full fleet of bikes and accessories
• Is responsible for the maintenance and repair of bikes
• Is run almost exclusively by volunteers
• Has successfully applied for a bursary grant from the CTC for training
• Has risk assessed numerous routes around Oldham
• Runs training sessions and bike rides every Saturday
• Currently has 20 plus members on a weekly ride out
We have Bikes and Helmets available to hire and all rides are led by a minimum of 2 trained Cycle Leaders.
We have a variety of rides for all abilities and can also teach you how to ride a bike.
